Srinagar. A policeman was shot dead and his seven-year-old daughter injured in indiscriminate firing by terrorists outside the house of a police constable in Soura on the outskirts of the city. Officials gave this information on Tuesday. Constable Saifullah Qadri, the third policeman to be killed in Kashmir this month, was attacked when he was leaving home to teach tuition to his daughter, he said. "The militants fired upon him outside the house of constable Qadri in Gani Mohalla in Anchar area of ​​Srinagar district," an official said.

"Qadri and his seven-year-old daughter were taken to the nearby SKIMS hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries," the official said. However, the girl sustained a bullet injury in her right hand in the attack and is out of danger. Inspector General of Police (Kashmir Range) Vijay Kumar expressed grief over the killing and said that police teams have been sent to the nearby areas to nab the culprits.

He said that we will arrest the killers soon. Earlier on May 7 a policeman was shot dead by terrorists at Aiwa bridge near Anchar area, while on May 13 another policeman was shot dead in Pulwama district.
