The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases a list of holidays at the beginning of every month, in which information about holidays from public banks to private and rural banks is given according to the states. In September, 2024, there will be many holidays in banks due to various festivals and special days. These include major festivals like Barawafat, Milad-un-Nabi, Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi. The complete information is as follows:

  • September 14, 2024: This is the second Saturday, so there will be a holiday in banks across the country.
  • September 15, 2024: Banks will remain closed on Sunday.
  • September 16, 2024: Banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Kanpur, Lucknow, Kochi, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Ranchi, Srinagar, and Trivandrum on the occasion of Barawafaat.
  • September 17, 2024: Banks will remain closed in Gangtok and Raipur on account of Milad-un-Nabi.
  • September 18, 2024: Banks will remain closed in Gangtok on account of Pang-Lhabsol.
  • September 20, 2024: Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar on account of Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi.
  • September 21, 2024: Banks will remain closed in Kochi and Trivandrum on account of Sri Narayana Guru Samadhi Diwas.
  • September 22, 2024: Banks will remain closed across the country on account of Sunday.
  • September 23, 2024: Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar on account of Maharaja Hari Singh's birthday.
  • September 28, 2024: Banks will remain closed across the country on account of fourth Saturday.
  • September 29, 2024: Banks will remain closed across the country on Sunday.
