Maharashtra Politics: Today the eyes of the entire country are on the Maharashtra Assembly Speaker. Speaker Rahul Narvekar has to decide on the disqualification of 16 MLAs including Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde. This decision will be applicable to all the 40 MLAs who are with the Shinde faction. As per the instructions of the Supreme Court, the Assembly Speaker has completed the hearing, now the decision will come by this evening. Before the decision of the Speaker of the Assembly comes, the Uddhav group has moved the Supreme Court. Uddhav Thackeray has alleged that the Speaker has met CM Eknath Shinde twice.

Uddhav raised questions on the meeting of Speaker and Shinde

Let us tell you that earlier this decision was to come by 31st January but later the Supreme Court extended it till 10th January. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar met over lunch on January 7. Right from the decision, Uddhav Thackeray has raised questions on the meeting between the Speaker and CM Shinde. Uddhav Thackeray faction leader Suresh Prabhu has expressed objection to this meeting by filing an affidavit in the Supreme Court.

At the same time, the Speaker has termed this action of Uddhav Thackeray as a step affecting the justice process. Today the decision is being eagerly awaited because this decision will not only be applicable to the remaining MLAs of Shinde group but the decision regarding the MLAs of Ajit Pawar group can also come on the same lines. Meanwhile, CM Eknath Shinde has expressed hope that the decision will come on the basis of merit.

Shiv Sena's equation-

Now understand the equation of Shiv Sena once. There was a rebellion in Shiv Sena in June 2022. At that time, out of 56 MLAs, first 16 and then 24 MLAs of Shiv Sena went with Eknath Shinde. Uddhav faction has only 16 MLAs left. Eknath Shinde became CM and formed the government with the support of BJP. Since that time this matter is going on both before the Assembly Speaker and the Supreme Court. The Election Commission has given the name to the Shinde faction and the election symbol of Shiv Sena. Shinde hopes that even today the decision will be in his favor.

Will the decision be in favor of Shinde or in favor of Uddhav, its implications will be far reaching. Therefore, understand what the impact of the decision will be. What if Eknath Shinde group proves incompetent?

What if Eknath Shinde group proves incompetent?

CM Eknath Shinde will have to resign immediately.

Technically the Maharashtra government will fall.

The support of NCP group MLAs will not affect NDA.

CM will change but NDA government will be formed again.

After being disqualified, Eknath Shinde will not be able to take oath again.

This decision will also impact the Ajit Pawar group. In the second situation, if Shinde group is declared eligible then-

First 16 and then 24 all MLAs will remain.

Eknath Shinde will remain CM.

More MLAs from Thackeray camp may come along with Eknath Shinde.

After the decision, both Shinde and Uddhav groups will have the right to approach the Supreme Court and for this they will have 30 days. But Uddhav Thackeray's restlessness shows that he does not want to leave any stone unturned, hence he has already approached the Supreme Court.
