Uttar Pradesh Politics: BJP MLA Anil Singh from Unnao district of UP has written a very sensational letter to Ajay Chauhan, Principal Secretary of Public Works Department (PWD). Through the letter, the MLA has made serious allegations of corruption in the PWD department. Anil Singh has accused some babus of the Public Works Department of corruption and demanded an inquiry.

BJP MLA accuses three babus of corruption

The BJP MLA said that the babus in the PWD department have been posted on the same desk for 21 years and there is no one to remove them. Anil Singh says that these three babus Birendra Yadav, Virendra Kumar Yadav and Omprakash Patel misuse the letters of MLAs. It is alleged that these babus charge 10% commission from the officers posted in the field and siphon off crores of rupees through transfer-posting.

Demand for investigation of property of relatives of babus

MLA Anil Singh said that in the department under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the disproportionate assets of the three babus as well as their close relatives should be investigated. These babus are accused of corruption by getting their favorite officers to collude with contractors as per their wish, by involving the headquarters officials, by getting huge amounts posted to the officers from the contractors in the name of deployment in the field.

Demanded investigation of woman's murder

Let us tell you that the murder of a woman officer in the PWD headquarters in 2020 is also being linked to the racket of babus. The MLA has also demanded an investigation of that murder by a competent agency. After the emergence of this letter, the big game going on in the PWD department has also been exposed. Now it remains to be seen what action the CM office and the Principal Secretary take in this department coming under the Chief Minister.
