However, Rahul Gandhi could not appear in court then. Rahul Gandhi's lawyer had told the court that the Lok Sabha session is going on, so Rahul Gandhi could not come, Rahul's lawyer had sought a date of July 26.

What is the whole case?

Actually, a defamation case was filed in Sultanpur MP MLA Court in August 2018. The case was filed by BJP leader Vijay Mishra. He had alleged that Rahul Gandhi had made derogatory remarks about Amit Shah in an election rally in Bengaluru, Karnataka on May 8. Rahul Gandhi has got bail in this case in February this year.

What will be Rahul Gandhi's schedule

According to the information received so far, Congress leaders have said that Rahul Gandhi will land at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow at around 9 am on July 26. From there Rahul Gandhi will leave for Sultanpur by car and will appear in the MP MLA court here.
