These projects are aimed at upliftment of tribal communities and improving infrastructure in rural areas.He inaugurated tribal freedom fighter museums and research institutes. Apart from this, the Prime Minister also participated in the Griha Pravesh program of 11,000 houses under the PM Janman Yojana. This scheme is dedicated to improving the lives of the most backward tribes and the overall development of their settlements.Emphasis on the role of tribal societyIn the program, the Prime Minister praised the contribution of the tribal society. He said, "The tribal society has played an important role in protecting the culture and freedom of India. This is the same society that made Prince Ram Lord Ram."Recalling the contribution of Birsa Munda and other tribal fighters in the freedom movement, he said that struggles like the Ulgulan movement, Santhal revolution and Kol rebellion will always be remembered in the history of the freedom struggle.Question on ignoring tribal communitiesPM Modi took a dig at the politics of marginalizing tribal history after independence. He said, "In the decades after independence, attempts were made to erase the invaluable contribution of tribal history. Selfish politics kept this society in the dark, but now this government is re-establishing tribal pride."New schemes for tribalsThe Prime Minister mentioned the schemes being run for the most backward tribes. He said that under the PM Janman Yojana, projects worth Rs 24,000 crore are being carried out to build concrete houses, roads and other facilities in the settlements of these communities.Along with this, referring to Ayushman Arogya Mandir and the National Campaign against Sickle Cell Anemia, he said that the government is committed to improving the health of the tribal society. More than 4.5 crore people have been screened so far.Resolve to preserve the heritage of tribal societyPM Modi praised the contribution of the tribal society in the traditional medical system of India.
