Cricket Desk: It has been about 24 hours since MS Dhoni announced his retirement from International Cricket. However, the congratulatory messages havenтАЩt stopped pouring in as yet. Cricketers and fans from all across the world have wished Dhoni the best for his future. Quite a few of those messages were quite emotional as well. However, Australian batsman Peter Handscomb came up with one of the best and wittiest messages for his counterpart.

Australia toured India in 2019 just before the World Cup for a three-match T20I series and a five-match ODI series. MS Dhoni was a part of the first three ODI games. Despite not having a great time with the bat in those games, MS Dhoni was on the top with the gloves. He affected some lightning stumping and Peter Handscomb was one of the victims.

Peter Handscomb recalls MS DhoniтАЩs keeping brilliance

In the first ODI of that series, Australia batted first and scored 236 runs. Peter Handscomb, batting at four, was just about getting his eye in and looked good. But out of nowhere, where the wicketkeeper-batsman was on 19, MS Dhoni whipped his bails off in a flash and got him stumped out.

In the same series, Peter Handscomb had an opportunity to stump out the former Indian skipper on one of the occasions. However, he was slightly slow and that was good enough for MS Dhoni to get back. In fact, the 39-year-old stretched 2.14 metres back then to avoid getting stumped.

Handscomb saw the funny side of this and shared two photos on Instagram. The first is where MS Dhoni stumped him out. And the second showing the brilliance of the Ranchi cricketer.

тАЬYou vs the man she told you not to worry about. Congratulations to @mahi7781 on an amazing international cricket career,тАЭ he wrote on his Instagram post.

MS Dhoni played just a handful of games after this incident. This included his last game at his home ground in Ranchi тАУ a match that India lost by 32 runs despite a brilliant Virat Kohli century. In his last match at his home ground, Dhoni scored 26 runs off 42 balls before Adam Zampa bowled him out.
