Villagers claim that all have died due to drinking poisonous liquor. While the administration believes that 4 people have died due to spurious liquor, 2 due to illness. In fact, the Bettiah district administration has issued a press release in connection with the suspected death due to spurious liquor. The district administration confirmed the death of a total of 16 people in this press release.According to the district administration, two people died of the disease. The family has accepted the death of four due to intoxicating liquor. There have been suspicious deaths of 10 people, the investigation of which has started. The district administration has also issued a list of 14 people who died in a suspicious condition due to spurious liquor. The administration has claimed to confirm the cause of death, citing conversations with villagers and family members.Let us inform that on July 15, there was panic due to the death of people one after the other in Deurwa village of Lauria police station area of Bettiah. The team that reached the investigation of the case was told by the family members that all had drank illegally supplied spurious liquor. Eight people died in the initial phase, but gradually the figure reached 16. Of these, two deaths were reported to be due to the disease. Whereas according to the villagers, 14 people have died due to drinking spurious liquor. But the administration is now talking about the death of only 4 people due to spurious liquor. The death of the other ten is being investigated as suspicious.
