Manipur Violence: A day after a two-month-old video of two women being paraded naked in Manipur surfaced, the main accused was arrested on Thursday. Police has given this information. Police said the accused, identified as Heradas (32), was arrested from Thoubal district with the help of a viral video, in which he was seen wearing a green T-shirt. The police further said that more accused will be arrested as the investigation progresses.Tension has increased in Manipur after the video of this incident surfaced. The incident took place on May 4 in Kangpokpi district of the northeastern state. On this matter, Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh said that the government is considering capital punishment against the criminals. He said that the accused was arrested at around 1.30 am on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.Police registered a case of kidnapping, gangrape and murder and said that every effort is being made to arrest the accused and 12 teams have been formed to arrest the accused. According to the police complaint, on the day of the incident, around 800 to 1,000 people carrying sophisticated weapons came to B.J.
