Rajasthan By-Election: An unprecedented incident was witnessed in the by-election held in Tonk district of Rajasthan on Wednesday, in which independent candidate Naresh Meena slapped SDM Amit Chaudhary while scuffling with him. He had earlier also rebelled and contested as an independent from Chhabra seat in the 2023 assembly elections, after which he was expelled by the Congress for six years. There are a total of 3.02 lakh voters in this area, and there is a tough competition between Congress and BJP here. Congress has fielded KC Meena, while BJP has fielded Rajendra Gurjar.
