A big accident happened in Jammu-Kashmir on Tuesday morning. A bus full of passengers fell into a ditch near Jhajjar Kotli on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The bus was going from Amritsar to Katra carrying passengers for Vaishno Devi. 7 passengers died in the accident while more than 12 people are said to be injured. After the accident, relief and rescue work has been started.

Jammu-Kashmir: A big accident happened in Jammu-Kashmir on Tuesday morning. A bus full of passengers fell into a ditch near Jhajjar Kotli on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The bus was going from Amritsar to Katra carrying passengers for Vaishno Devi. 7 passengers died in the accident while more than 12 people are said to be injured. After the accident, relief and rescue work has been started. Giving information about the incident, the DC of Jammu said that 7 people have died while 4 people have been seriously injured due to the bus falling into a deep gorge. The seriously injured have been admitted to the Government Medical College. 12 others are being treated at the local PHC.

The reasons behind the accident are yet to be known. It is being told that there were a total of 75 passengers in the bus. After getting the information about the accident, the CRPF and police administration team reached the spot and started the rescue operation. Some passengers are feared to be buried under the bus as well. For this, the crane is being called on the spot. The exact figure of death will be revealed only after the bus is pulled out.

CRPF officer Ashok Chaudhary engaged in the rescue operation said that the dead bodies are being taken out. It is being told that most of the passengers in the bus were residents of Bihar. However, the passengers who lost their lives in the accident are being identified.
