Suspicious IED has been recovered in Jammu's Sidra. It is being told that the suspected IED has been found on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Sidra. On April 22, two days before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Jammu, there was a terrorist attack in Sunjwan, Jammu. In this, two Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists were killed by the security forces. Earlier, an ASI of CISF, SP Patel, was martyred in the attack of terrorists, while 10 CISF and police personnel were injured.
Fidayeen jackets have been found from the slain terrorists. Along with this, three AK 47 rifles, under barrel grenade launchers, satellite phones and grenades have also been found. Food items, dry fruits and energy drinks have also been recovered. ADGP Mukesh Singh says that with the killing of two terrorists, the fidayeen attack has been foiled. The National Security Agency is now investigating in this matter.
Earlier on April 16, a terrorist plot was foiled to harm the security forces in Rajori. The security forces conducted a joint operation and recovered the IED Improvised Explosive Device installed on Gurdan Road. It was then taken to a safe place and destroyed. The police had received information about some suspicious activity in Gurdan Chava village on Gurdan Road. After this a joint search operation was launched in the entire area. During the operation, a suspicious object was found lying on the side of the road, which turned out to be an IED during investigation. The bomb squad later captured him as per the SOP. It was then destroyed in a safe place. The matter is being investigated.
