BSNL 5G Service / Big news for BSNL and MTNL users, DoT started 5G testing

After BSNL, MTNL is also going to start 4G and 5G services soon. MTNL's 5G testing has started in Delhi and Mumbai, which is completely based on Made in India technology. BSNL is also conducting 5G trials, in which C-DoT and various companies are involved.

MTNL 5G testing begins

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has recently shared a screenshot of the testing of MTNL 5G service on its official X handle. This screenshot shows the presence of MTNL's 5G network. DoT says that this is a completely Made in India 5G service, using equipment manufactured in India. Like BSNL, MTNL's 5G service is also being tested by the government institution C-DoT, which is responsible for technical testing and trials.

BSNL 5G service testing

BSNL's 5G network was tested recently at the C-DoT campus. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia demonstrated it publicly by making a video call on BSNL's 5G network. The minister also posted this video on his official social media account, talking about the success of BSNL 5G call trial. This trial is an important step towards improving BSNL's 5G service and making it ready for consumers.

Proposal for 5G trial

Many companies have submitted proposals for the trial of BSNL's 5G service. These include companies like Tata Consultancy Services, Lekha Wireless, Suktha Consulting, Coral Telecom, Amantya Technologies, Velemani, W4S Labs, VVDN, Galore Networks and Bharat RN Consortium. However, no company has been officially invited for the trial yet.

Spectrum bands for BSNL

BSNL has been allocated 700MHz, 2200MHz, 3300MHz and 26GHz spectrum bands to launch 5G service. Currently, BSNL is trialing 5G service on 700MHz spectrum band. This trial is being done to check the stability and capacity of BSNL's 5G technology, so that wider service can be launched in future.

MTNL's 4G and 5G service

MTNL is also going to start 4G service soon and is also preparing for 5G service. This move of MTNL will provide high speed internet services to the users of Delhi and Mumbai and will also fulfill the expectations of the users towards new technology in the telecom sector.
