MCD Election: BJP has released the second list for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections. In this list, the party has announced the names of 18 candidates. BJP has given ticket to Jyoti Agarwal from Rani Bagh, Manish Chadda from Paharganj, Lalit Bhamri from Daryaganj, Guddi Chowdhary from Mithapur. Earlier, on November 12, BJP had released the list of 232 candidates. BJP has announced the names of its candidates on all 250 wards. Apart from this, Aam Aadmi Party and Congress are also contesting from all the wards. On Sunday late evening, the Congress had announced the names of the candidates for all the 250 wards.

Of the 232 candidates announced by the BJP in its first list for the MCD elections, 126 are women. BJP has fielded 9 former mayors, 52 former corporators, 3 candidates who have contested assembly elections, two state officials, 4 district presidents and three doctors.

Candidates can withdraw nomination papers till November 19

Significantly, voting for the MCD elections will be held on December 4. The results will come on December 7. Nominations for the MCD elections had started on November 7. The last date for nomination is 14 November. The nomination papers will have to be scrutinized by November 16. The last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is November 19. Please inform that there are 70 assembly seats in Delhi. However, elections will not be held on 2 of these seats. In such a situation, elections will be held on 68 assembly seats which have 250 wards.

The list has been prepared keeping castes in mind.

BJP has fielded 23 Punjabis, 42 Brahmins, 34 Jats, 21 Vaishyas, 26 Purvanchali, 22 Rajputs, 17 Gujjars, 13 Jatavs, 9 Balmikis, 9 Yadavs, 7 Sikhs, 3 Muslims, 2 Uttarakhand residents, 1 Sindhi and 1 Jain community in this election.
