Ram Mandir Ayodhya: Congress party has rejected the invitation for Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha on 22 January. All the big leaders of Congress including Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge will not go to Ayodhya. Last month, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Congress Parliamentary Party President Adhir Ranjan Choudhary had received an invitation from the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust for the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Ram temple was made a political project

A statement has been issued by the Congress Party in this regard. The statement said that BJP and RSS have over the years made the Ram temple in Ayodhya a political project. A half-built temple is being inaugurated only for electoral gains.

Inauguration of semi-built temple for election benefits

Congress said in the statement that crores of Indians worship Lord Ram. Religion has always been a personal matter of man, but BJP and RSS have made Ram Temple a political affair. It is clear from this that a half-built temple is being inaugurated only for electoral gains.

We respectfully decline the invitation

The statement further said that accepting the decision of the Supreme Court of 2019 and respecting the faith of the people, Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury respectfully reject the invitation of BJP and RSS to this event.
