Ram Mandir Ayodhya / 'Completely false, baseless and misleading' - Champat Rai's reaction to Rahul Gandhi's statement

Ram Mandir Ayodhya: Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra General Secretary Champat Rai has reacted to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's statement regarding President Draupadi Murmu not being invited to the life consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla. Champat Rai has said that the statement given by the Congress leader in this regard is completely 'false, baseless and misleading'. He said, 'Rahul Gandhi has said in a meeting in Gujarat that President Draupadi Murmu was not invited to the consecration of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya because he was a tribal. We have serious objection to this sentence of Rahul Gandhi. This is untrue, baseless and misleading.

‘The President and former President were invited’

Champat Rai said, 'We would like to inform that both the respected President of India, Mrs. Draupadi Murmu and former President Shri Ram Nath Kovind were invited to the auspicious ceremony organized in Ayodhya. People belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes, poor, saints, people from minority groups and other dignitaries from various regions who have contributed to the progress of India were invited. Besides, workers associated with the construction of the temple were also present in the consecration ceremony. Even during the Pran Pratishtha rituals, several families from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Castes performed puja at the 'Shubh Mandap' of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple.

'We express serious objection to Rahul's statement'

The general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra said, 'Lord Ram did not discriminate against anyone in his life. Even the trust engaged in the construction of Ram temple cannot think of discriminating against anyone. Giving such wrong, baseless and misleading speeches without proper knowledge of facts can create serious differences in the society. Therefore we express serious objection to this. Our job is to unite the society.' Let us tell you that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had allegedly alleged that President Draupadi Murmu was not invited to the consecration ceremony of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple because he was a tribal. This reaction of Champat Rai has come to light only after Rahul's statement.
