CM Rekha Gupta News: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta recently responded openly to the controversies over her old social media posts in an interview. She not only admitted her mistakes, but also made it clear that as a human being she is also going through a journey of maturity and the process of learning from past mistakes is ongoing."Everyone makes mistakes, I am no exception"Rekha Gupta said, "Every human being changes with time. When I was young, perhaps I did not have the control over my language that I have today."She also admitted that even after becoming the Chief Minister, on many occasions she has said such things which caused controversy. Giving an example, she told that once while telling a story in the Assembly, the word 'thulla' came out of her mouth, which was not at all intended to insult any police officer or soldier."I respect the police and army personnel a lot. They are engaged in serving the country day and night, sacrificing their family and comfort and working for us," she said."Intention is never wrong"CM Rekha believes that sometimes the choice of words may be wrong, but that does not mean that the intention was wrong. She said, "We should recognize our mistakes in time and learn from them. I do not believe in hiding my mistakes, but believe in accepting them and moving forward."She also said that "I am not a fully trained Chief Minister. I too make mistakes, and I accept them with an open heart."Statement on Akhilesh Yadav and new controversyRecently, Rekha Gupta again came into the limelight when she called Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav a "toti chor". Reacting to this, Akhilesh Yadav took a dig and said, "Where does Rekha Gupta get the confidence to say such things?" He also reminded that this is not the first time the Chief Minister has made such controversial comments-she has earlier also made objectionable comments on Arvind Kejriwal.A step towards maturity in politics? This interview of Rekha Gupta shows that she is introspecting about her role and is now more conscious about her language and conduct in public life. She clearly said that "We are all human beings, and humans make mistakes. But what is important is what we learn from those mistakes."This confession not only shows her humanity, but also indicates that perhaps now the need and importance of leaders who publicly accept responsibility and want to improve are increasing in Indian politics. Will this changed form of Rekha Gupta give a new shape to her political image? Only time will tell, but it is certain that she has set a different example by showing courage to accept her mistake.
