Budget 2023: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting her 5th and 75th budget of the country. Sitharaman said that this is the first budget of Amritkal, which is based on the foundation laid in the previous budget. We want such an India, where everyone including women, farmers, scheduled castes get a place.

Anyway, Nirmala Sitharaman has been doing something new in the last 4 budgets. Be it briefcase ledger, paper less budget or the longest budget speech. Don't know this time. Something special can happen.

Now budget speech updates...

  • Agriculture Fund will be set up to promote agricultural start-ups of youth.
  • For the next 3 years, 1 crore farmers will be helped in natural farming. For this, 10,000 Bio Input Resource Centers will be set up.
  • A budget of Rs 2.40 lakh crore has been given for the railways. Investment expenditure is being increased by 33% to Rs 10 lakh crore.
  • There has been a 66 percent increase in the PM Awas Yojana, this sector has now become worth 69 thousand crores. Since 2014, 157 new nursing colleges will be opened along with the existing 157 medical colleges.
  • To increase regional connectivity, 50 new airports, helipads, water arrow drones, advanced landing grounds will be developed.
  • For senior citizens, the limit of the amount to be kept in the savings account will be increased from Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 9 lakh.
  • Mahila Samman Bachat Patra Yojana will start. In this, women will get 7.5% interest annually on savings of Rs 2 lakh.
  • To increase regional connectivity, 50 new airports, helipads, water arrow drones, advanced landing grounds will be developed.
Budget Highlights

1. Free food grains to the poor for 28 months

During the Covid pandemic, we made sure that no one sleeps hungry. We gave free ration to more than 80 crore people for 28 months. Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana has been extended for one year.

2. Per capita income doubled

Since 2014, the effort of the government has been to improve the quality of life of the people. The per capita income has more than doubled to 1.97 lakh. The world is looking at India like a shining star. Due to the global slowdown, our growth rate has been 7%. Stronger than other countries.

3. Digital library, recruitment of teachers

National Digital Library for Children and Adolescents will be set up. In the next 3 years, 38 thousand 800 teachers and support staff will be appointed for 740 Eklavya schools. Under this, 3.5 lakh tribal students will get benefited. Since 2014, 157 new nursing colleges will be opened along with the existing 157 medical colleges.

4. Relief and Reforms

Relief will be given to small and medium industries affected by Corona. Voluntary settlement scheme will be brought for settlement of disputes. Disputes will be resolved without long process. For businesses, the use of PAN number will be sufficient for all digital systems.

PMPBTG Development Mission will be launched to improve the socio-economic condition of backward tribal groups. This will provide basic amenities in PBTG settlements. 15 thousand crores will be given.

5. Support to MSME

Relief will be given to small and medium industries affected by Corona. Voluntary settlement scheme will be brought for settlement of disputes. Disputes will be resolved without long process. For businesses, the use of PAN number will be sufficient for all digital systems. Credit guarantee of Rs 9 thousand crore will be given to MSMEs. With this, they will be able to get extra collateral free credit of Rs 2 lakh crore. This scheme will be applicable from 1 April 2023 only.

6. For tribals

PMPBTG Development Mission will be launched to improve the socio-economic condition of backward tribal groups. This will provide basic amenities in PBTG settlements. 15 thousand crores will be given.

7. Agriculture and Startups

Agriculture Fund will be set up to promote agricultural start-ups of youth. For the next 3 years, 1 crore farmers will be helped in natural farming. For this, 10,000 Bio Input Resource Centers will be set up.

8. Youth and Employment

National Data Governance Policy will be brought to bring innovation and research of startups and educational institutions to the fore. This will make it easy for everyone to access important data. To prepare the youth for international opportunities, 30 Skill India International Centers will be set up in different states. The fourth phase of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana will be launched.

9. Boost to 5G

100 labs will be set up in engineering institutes to develop apps running on 5G service. New opportunities, business models and employment possibilities will be created through these labs. In these labs, apps will be developed for fields like smart classroom, precision farming, intelligent transport system and healthcare.
