Budget 2023: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting her 5th and 75th budget of the country. Sitharaman said that this is the first budget of Amritkal, which is based on the foundation laid in the previous budget. - Agriculture Fund will be set up to promote agricultural start-ups of youth.
- For the next 3 years, 1 crore farmers will be helped in natural farming. For this, 10,000 Bio Input Resource Centers will be set up.
- A budget of Rs 2.40 lakh crore has been given for the railways. Investment expenditure is being increased by 33% to Rs 10 lakh crore.
- There has been a 66 percent increase in the PM Awas Yojana, this sector has now become worth 69 thousand crores. Since 2014, 157 new nursing colleges will be opened along with the existing 157 medical colleges.
- To increase regional connectivity, 50 new airports, helipads, water arrow drones, advanced landing grounds will be developed.
- For senior citizens, the limit of the amount to be kept in the savings account will be increased from Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 9 lakh.
- Mahila Samman Bachat Patra Yojana will start. In this, women will get 7.5% interest annually on savings of Rs 2 lakh.
