Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha: The budget session of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly ended with a major confrontation between the ruling and opposition parties. Speaker Vasudev Devnani has suspended Congress MLA Mukesh Bhakar for six months. There was a continuous controversy in the House since Monday over the debate on the issue of making the Law Minister's son an additional advocate general. Immediately after suspending Mukesh Bhakar, the Speaker adjourned the proceedings of the House indefinitely, although even after this the opposition MLAs continued to raise slogans in the House. Earlier, the government chief whip Jogeshwar Garg had proposed to suspend Bhakar for six months, which was immediately approved by the Speaker.

Chief Whip said - Bhakar should be ashamed

Chief Whip Jogeshwar Garg, while proposing to suspend Congress MLA Mukesh Bhakar for six months, said that Bhakar should have left the House after being suspended on August 5. The Speaker repeatedly asked him to leave the House, but he disobeyed the orders.

Garg said- There is a provision in rule 292-3 of procedure and functioning of the assembly that the suspended MLA should immediately leave the boundaries of the house, but Bhakar has not done so till now. The entire opposition is protecting him. A person who behaves indecently like this does not have the right to remain a member of this house.

Bhakar said- The speaker took the responsibility of defending the failed government

After the suspension, Mukesh Bhakar said- This decision was taken under the pressure of BJP. We wanted to talk about the wrong appointment of the law minister's son. First the speaker said that you go to the seat, I will make the arrangement. When we went to the seat, the speaker said that you give it in writing, I will examine and give time tomorrow. When the leader of the opposition was speaking, the BJP leader stood in the middle and started speaking.

Bhakar said- I told the MLAs that if the leader of the opposition is speaking, then you do not have the right. The speaker had already decided. The BJP government is failing in the assembly, the ministers were not able to answer. The speaker took the responsibility of defending it. The speaker was already saying repeatedly that the student leaders who came from the university should improve, I will suspend you. The suspension happened in a hurry without voting.

Last year Rajendra Singh Gudha and BJP MLA Madan Dilawar were suspended

During the Congress rule, on 24 July 2023 last year, former minister Rajendra Singh Gudha and then BJP MLA Madan Dilawar were suspended. At that time, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shanti Dhariwal had proposed the suspension of both.

Today's proceedings started with uproar

The proceedings of the last day of the budget session in the assembly today (Tuesday) also started with uproar. Congress MLAs, who were on strike since Monday, were adamant on cancelling the suspension of Mukesh Bhakar. There was a debate on disaster management in the assembly amid the uproar of Congress MLAs. BJP MLA Sandeep Sharma started the debate. Meanwhile, the opposition kept demanding the resignation of the Law Minister.

The speaker had asked to send the suspended MLA out

On the sloganeering of the opposition, Speaker Vasudev Devnani had said that first send the suspended MLA out and let the Question Hour continue. Then the matter will be heard. On the other hand, there was a deadlock in the assembly throughout the day on the issue of suspending Ladnun MLA Mukesh Bhakar.

The MLAs sitting on the dharna kept chanting Ramdhuni till night. The dharna continued throughout the day on Tuesday as well. On Monday, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel had once discussed with the Leader of Opposition and senior MLAs to remove the deadlock in the assembly, but the matter did not work out.

BJP MLA said - Rahul was partying at the time of Mumbai attack

BJP MLA Gopal Sharma said during the debate on disaster management that when the terrorist bomb attack took place in Mumbai, Rahul Gandhi was partying in Gurugram. All this has been published in the newspapers. When he was arrested in Boston, the briefcase recovered from him contained dollars.
