Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha: The budget session of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly began on Friday with the address of Governor Haribhau Bagde. During this, Congress MLA Govind Singh Dotasara took a dig at the Governor for holding meetings in the districts. Giving a befitting reply to this comment, the Governor clarified that the committee related to tribal welfare comes under his jurisdiction and it is his responsibility to hold its meetings.Sharp reaction between Governor and DotasaraGovernor Bagde mentioned his visit to Tamlor in the border Barmer district in his address. He said that he inspected a house built under the PM Awas Yojana, where water was brought from 800 km away from Sardar Sarovar under the Jal Jeevan Mission. In this context, Dotasara stood up and said in a sarcastic tone, "The government is not holding any meeting and the Governor has to visit the districts to hold meetings."To this, the Governor immediately replied that the Tribal Welfare Committee comes under him and it is his responsibility to hold its meetings. He firmly said, "I will visit every district and hold meetings."Dotasara intervened once or twice even after this, but the Governor did not pay attention to him and continued with his address.Serious allegations against Congress ruleThe Governor made several serious allegations against the previous Congress government in his speech of about one hour and 26 minutes. He held the Congress responsible for the delay in the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (now Ram Jal Setu Yojana). Apart from this, he mentioned the Jal Jeevan Mission scam that took place during the Congress rule and said that it tarnished the image of Rajasthan.He also said that not a single paper has been leaked in the present government, whereas during the Congress regime, the examinations were delayed due to incidents of paper leak. He informed that the BJP government has released the calendar of the recruitment process to fill 81,000 posts, which is a big step towards securing the future of the youth.Target to take Rajasthan's economy to $ 350 billionWhile discussing the economic policy of the state, Governor Bagde informed that the Rajasthan government has set an ambitious target of taking the state's economy to $ 350 billion. Describing 'Rising Rajasthan Summit' as the biggest example of this, he said that under this initiative, the foundation of investment of Rs 35 lakh crore has been laid.Citing the example of 'Vibrant Gujarat', he said that just as investment came to Gujarat from the country and abroad through this initiative, similarly representatives from 32 countries also came to participate in 'Rising Rajasthan'.Demands of MLAs in the HouseDuring the budget session, Congress MLA Indra Meena wore a written jacket demanding a judicial inquiry into the Samravata case. At the same time, another MLA wore a specially designed jacket to demonstrate the demand to make Neem Ka Thana a district.Proceedings of the session adjournedAfter the Governor's address, the Speaker of the Assembly adjourned the proceedings of the House till Monday.At the beginning of this session itself, a sharp altercation was seen between the ruling party and the opposition, due to which the proceedings of the Assembly are expected to be more heated in the coming days.
