The total market cap of these companies increased by ₹84,559.01 crore. Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) gained the most, while technology majors—TCS and Infosys—suffered losses.

The BSE benchmark index Sensex fell 207.43 points (0.27%) last week, while the Nifty declined 75.9 points (0.33%). During the week, the market was closed on Thursday on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.

Companies that registered gains

1. Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL)

The FMCG giant's market capitalization rose by ₹28,700.26 crore to ₹5,56,054.27 crore. This was the biggest gain of the week.

2. Reliance Industries

The market cap of Reliance, the country's most valuable company, increased by ₹19,757.27 crore to ₹16,50,002.23 crore.

3. ITC Limited

The market position of ITC increased by ₹15,329.79 crore to ₹5,27,845.57 crore.

4. Bajaj Finance

This big company of the financial sector added ₹12,760.23 crore, taking its valuation to ₹5,53,348.28 crore.

5. Bharti Airtel

The market cap of Airtel, the leading company in the telecom sector, increased by ₹8,011.46 crore to ₹10,02,030.97 crore.

These companies were in loss

1. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)

The market valuation of IT sector giant TCS fell by ₹24,295.46 crore to ₹11,69,474.43 crore.

2. Infosys

Infosys suffered a loss of ₹17,319.11 crore and its market cap came down to ₹5,85,859.34 crore.

3. State Bank of India (SBI)

The valuation of the country's largest public sector bank SBI fell by ₹12,271.36 crore to ₹6,72,960.97 crore.

4. ICICI Bank

This leading private sector bank suffered a decline of ₹8,913.09 crore, bringing its market cap down to ₹9,34,351.86 crore.

5. HDFC Bank

HDFC Bank's market cap declined by ₹7,958.31 crore to ₹13,82,450.37 crore.

Status of top 10 companies

Reliance Industries remained at the top in terms of market capitalization. It was followed by HDFC Bank, TCS, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, SBI, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, Bajaj Finance and ITC in the top 10 respectively.
