The Ministry of Electronics and IT has banned these apps. All these apps were sending data of Indian users to China and other countries. It is being said that these apps were transferring data of Indian users to foreign servers. Google's Play Store has been ordered to ban the apps.

The list of 54 banned apps includes apps from big Chinese companies like Tencent, Alibaba and gaming firm NetEase. It is being said that these 54 apps that were banned were the new incarnation of the apps banned in 2020.

List of 54 apps that have been banned

The 54 Chinese apps that have been banned include Beauty Camera: Sweet Selfie HD, Beauty Camera - Selfie Camera, Equalizer & Bass Booster, CamCard for SalesForce Ent, Isoland 2: Ashes of Time Lite, Viva Video Editor, Tencent Xriver, Onmyoji Chess , Onmyoji Arena, AppLock, Dual Space Lite.

Let us tell you that even in 2020, the government had banned more than 250 Chinese apps, in which the names of big apps like Tiktok and PubG were there. Apps like TikTok, Shareit, WeChat, Helo, Likee, UC News, Bigo Live, UC Browser, ES File Explorer and Mi Community were banned in the first digital surgical strike in 2020.
