Arvind Kejriwal News: Aam Aadmi Party President Arvind Kejriwal reached Doda in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. Here he met Mehraj Malik, the only AAP leader who won the assembly elections. Along with this, he also congratulated National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah on winning the assembly elections. Arvind Kejriwal said that if there is any problem in running a 'half state' like Jammu and Kashmir, then Omar Abdullah can seek advice from him.

Congratulations for becoming the Chief Minister of 'India' alliance

Arvind Kejriwal said, "Omar Abdullah will take over as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir in the next few days. I congratulate him for becoming the Chief Minister of 'India' alliance. We will fully support him in running a successful government and hope that Jammu and Kashmir will move forward on the path of development under his leadership. Delhi is called a half state because the Chief Minister has limited powers. Now they (BJP) have made Jammu and Kashmir a half state, which means the elected government has minimum powers, while the Lieutenant Governor has more powers.''

If there is any difficulty in work, Omar Abdullah can take advice

Former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said, "I want to tell Omar Abdullah that if he faces any difficulty in his work, he can take advice from me, because I have run the government in Delhi for 10 years." Kejriwal said, "AAP is formally supporting the government led by Omar and I hope that his government will give responsibility to Mehraj Malik so that he can not only work for Doda but can also give his services to the people of Jammu and Kashmir." Arvind Kejriwal further said that Mehraj Malik has not won in the name of religion, but he has raised basic issues like education, health and road.

Aam Aadmi Party wants development of Doda

Arvind Kejriwal further said, "Aam Aadmi Party wants development of Doda and Jammu and Kashmir. We are not in the race to become MPs, MLAs, Chief Ministers or Prime Ministers, but we are in a long struggle against the system and want to start a different kind of politics in the country to improve the living standards of the people. Arvind Kejriwal thanked the people for voting for Mehraj Malik. He said that his party's historic victory will change the status and history of Jammu and Kashmir in the next 10 years. He said, "You have not only sown the seed of AAP, but have sown the seed of a different kind of politics. AAP is not a party, but the name of a new ideology, a new kind of politics. AAP sets up schools to educate the children of the poor, rejuvenates government hospitals and provides free electricity to the people."
