Coronavirus / K'taka CM tests positive for COVID-19 for 2nd time after hospitalisation over fever

Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa tested positive for coronavirus for the second time after he was hospitalised in Bengaluru on Friday due to persistent fever. Chief Minister's Office said that Yediyurappa will be shifted to Manipal hospital from MS Ramaiah Memorial hospital where he was admitted today. He had also held an emergency meeting over COVID-19 at his residence earlier today.

Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has also become Corona positive. He was first admitted to the Ramaiya Memorial Hospital, from where it has now been shifted to Manipal Hospital. Before the Corona report, CM Yeddyurappa took an emergency meeting on Covid today. This meeting was held at his residence.

During the meeting held at the CM residence, Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa asked the officers to formulate a strategy to stop the spread of corona. Along with this, ordered the officers to intensify vaccination and tests, arrange beds in hospitals, and make people aware.

Lockdown will be imposed if required

Earlier, Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa said on Monday that a lockdown can be imposed if needed. CM said, 'People have to think, for their own good. If they do not take precautions, then we will have to take drastic measures. If necessary, we will implement lockdown.
