AUS vs PAK: A three-match Test series is being played between Pakistan and Australia. In the first match of the series, Pakistan team had to face a crushing defeat. The second match of the series is to be played from 26th December. Before this match, Pakistan team has suffered another big setback. Pakistan's left-arm spinner Noman Ali has been ruled out of the remaining two Test matches against Australia after suffering acute appendicitis.

PCB Gave Information

The slow left-arm orthodox bowler was taken to the hospital after he complained of sudden and unbearable pain in the stomach. He underwent laparoscopic appendectomy on Saturday after appendicitis was confirmed in the scan. The Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed in a statement that he is stable and recovering after surgery. He will be discharged this afternoon. 37-year-old Noman has represented Pakistan in 15 test matches. This Sindh-born player has taken 47 wickets in his Test career at an average of 33.53. He has taken four wickets once and five wickets four times.

Noman's condition has thrown Pakistan's bowling into disarray. His fellow spinner Abrar Ahmed is already undergoing rehab after complaining of discomfort in his right leg. On the other hand, fast bowler Khurram Shahzad, who made his debut during the first Test in Perth, has also been ruled out of the current Test series due to a torn abdominal muscle as well as a stress fracture in his ribs. Although Pakistan team director Mohammad Hafeez has reiterated several times that his team is capable of turning things around in the series, the chances of that seem slim now.

Team will be in trouble

The team led by Shan Masood had lost badly in the first test against Australia. With only experienced names like Shaheen Shah Afridi in the bowling attack, Pakistan struggled to trouble the Australian batsmen in Perth. Although debutant Aamir Jamal took six wickets in the first innings, his bowling was not good enough to secure a win over Australia. Whereas in batting, he disappointed in both the innings. No batsman of the team could play such an innings that the fans could praise.
