PM Modi Ukraine Tour: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on August 23, where he will hold important talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky. Confirming the visit, the Ministry of External Affairs said that India is ready to contribute to a peaceful resolution of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Foreign Ministry Secretary Tanmay Lal said in a media briefing that India has always advocated solving problems through diplomacy and dialogue. He also clarified that India has independent and balanced relations with both Russia and Ukraine, which are not dependent on any party. Before this visit, PM Modi will also visit Poland.The President's Office of Ukraine has also issued a statement regarding PM Modi's visit, stating that this is the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Ukraine. During this visit, issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries will be discussed. Also, many important documents are expected to be signed between Ukraine and India.Earlier, PM Modi visited Russia on 8-9 July, which was criticized by Western countries. India rejected this criticism and said that in a multipolar world, all countries have the right to take decisions according to their choice.PM Modi's visit to Ukraine is being considered an important step for international diplomacy, which reflects India's balanced and independent relations with Ukraine and Russia.
