G20 Brazil Summit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Monday to attend the 19th G20 summit. This visit is the second leg of his three-nation visit, where he will discuss important issues such as climate change, economic stability and global development with global leaders on November 18 and 19.

Warm welcome in Brazil

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a grand welcome on his arrival in Brazil. Indian Ambassador Suresh Reddy and other representatives greeted him at the airport. Special enthusiasm was seen among the NRIs regarding this visit of the Prime Minister. A large number of people from the Indian community warmly welcomed him with Indian flags and photographs of the Prime Minister in their hands.

Visit to Nigeria and Guyana

Prime Minister Modi visited Nigeria before coming to Brazil, where he was conferred with the country's national award "Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON)". This is the 17th international award received by an Indian leader. During this visit, he held bilateral talks with Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and met the Indian community.

After Brazil, the Prime Minister will visit Guyana. This visit will be historic, as this will be the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister in 50 years. He will be in Guyana from 19 to 21 November at the invitation of President Mohammed Irfaan Ali.
