Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the Quad Summit on May 24 in Tokyo. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi gave this information on Thursday. He told that, this summit will be the fourth meeting between the Quad leaders. In this summit, discussions related to the Indo-Pacific region and other interests will be held and there will be a good opportunity to express mutual views.

A foreign spokesperson said that during this visit, PM Modi will attend business events in Japan and meet business leaders. Apart from this, PM Modi will also address Indians living in Japan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also hold bilateral talks with Japanese PM Kishida and US President Joe Biden.

The Quad Summit meeting will take place on 23-24 May. Formed with Australia, India, Japan and the United States, the Quad was a special initiative of the Trump government. So far there have been three summits of this group.

According to PTI, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan spoke to reporters at the Daily White House Press Conference. During his visit, he said that President Joe Biden will also launch a new and ambitious economic initiative, the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, during his visit to Tokyo, which will be the economic system of the 21st century.

The Quad countries have tried to surround China due to the increasing influence of China in the Indian Pacific Ocean. Beijing has criticized the statements of the Quad group on several occasions.
