India-Canada Relations: After the Lok Sabha elections in India, a new government has been formed. Narendra Modi has taken oath as the Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. On this occasion, PM Modi has received congratulatory messages from leaders around the world. Amid the tension in relations with India, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau congratulated Narendra Modi on his victory. Justin Trudeau had given a congratulatory message through a social media post four days ago. But, after taking oath, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accepted the congratulations and replied to Trudeau.

PM Modi replied

Responding to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau four days later, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India is looking forward to working with Canada on the basis of mutual understanding and respect for each other's concerns. He wrote on X, "Thank you @CanadianPM for the congratulatory message. India is looking forward to working with Canada on the basis of mutual understanding and respect for each other's concerns."

What did Justin Trudeau say

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau congratulated PM Modi on the social media platform X and said, 'Congratulations to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his victory in the elections. Canada is ready to work with his government to advance relations based on human rights, diversity and the rule of law.'

People scolded him

Let us tell you that, in the congratulatory message given by Justin Trudeau, things like 'human rights, diversity and the rule of law' were said, after which people scolded him on social media. People reminded Trudeau what all happened during his government's tenure.

Dispute between India and Canada

Meanwhile, let us also tell you here that, a dispute has been going on between India and Canada since last year in the case of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar murder. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stood up in Parliament last year and accused Indian agencies of involvement in Nijjar's murder. India had called all Trudeau's claims baseless. Since then, bitterness is being seen in the relations between India and Canada.
