He said that I had sent the pain of my heart and the pain of all the Congress workers of Delhi to my president. My pain is about principles. I have not resigned for myself, I have resigned for the Congress workers. During the PC, an emotional Lovely thanked Delhi Pradesh Congress in-charge Deepak Bawaria. Brushing aside the rumours, he clarified that ticket distribution was not the reason behind his resignation and it was “due to principles”. Lovely claimed that around 30 former MLAs have met him and extended their support. Congress workers never said that we have given a clean chit to the present Kejriwal government. Our stance was always to fight with the alliance.

This is the feeling of Congress workers

He said, “This is not the sentiment of Arvinder Singh Lovely, but this is the sentiment of Congress workers. I want to thank the high command that they accepted my resignation. I want to thank Saurabh Bhardwaj for his words.”
