Mumbai: Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case is getting murkier by the day and there are no doubts about the same. While there have been speculations about a foul play in the case since the beginning the introduction of illegal drug angle has given the investigation a new direction. In fact, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) also jumped into action and has been probing the drugs angle in the case while interrogating main accused Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda.

While the NCB team arrested Showik and Samuel lately after finding substantial evidence, it was reported that the duo was presented before the court today wherein the team had sought a seven day custody for them. Now, as per a recent development, the court has sent Showik and Samuel in a 4 day NCB custody, i.e., the duo will be in the custody till September 9. This isn’t all. The court has also sent Kaizen Ibrahim to a 14 day judicial custody. Meanwhile, as a per Times Now, NCB’s remand copy of Showik claims that he is a part of an active drug syndicate. “High profile persons are a part of that syndicate. There’s a purpose to uncover others in the syndicate,” as mentioned in the copy. Talking about the Showik and Samuel’s custody, Mutha Ashok Jain, Deputy DG, NCB, told ANI, “Today we have obtained the police custody remand of two more persons so that makes four people in our custody remand.”

Meanwhile, Sushant’s lawyer has stated that Showik and Samuel’s arrest is just the tip of the iceberg and claimed that there is a lot more which Mumbai police was hiding from everyone. “Arrests by the NCB prove the fear of the family that there was something very big that Mumbai Police wanted to hide. Clearly, there are several angles in this case. The family (of Sushant Singh Rajput) hopes that more angles will come out,” he added.
