PM Modi And Rishi Sunak: Former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak recently visited India, where he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rishi Sunak's family members were also present during this special meeting. Prime Minister Modi shared pictures of this meeting on the social media platform 'X' and wrote, "It was a great pleasure to meet former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his family. We had a wonderful conversation on many topics. Sunak is a great friend of India and is keen to make India-UK relations even stronger."Discussion on India-UK economic relationsDuring this meeting, the two leaders discussed potential opportunities to take trade and economic cooperation between India and Britain to new heights. The conversation particularly emphasized on strengthening market-based financial relations and accelerating economic growth.The Union Finance Ministry also reacted to this visit. The ministry shared a post on 'X' and said that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met Rishi Sunak in New Delhi. In this meeting, the effective use of the Commonwealth was discussed so that issues of mutual interest can be included in the G-7 agenda and the global south can get maximum benefit.Connection to Parliament House and Indian HeritageRishi Sunak also visited the Indian Parliament House along with his wife Akshata Murthy and daughters Krishna and Anushka.
