Rajasthan Economy: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Wednesday announced that his government will aim to double the state's economy to $350 billion in the next five years. He made this statement during a meeting with a delegation from Singapore at the Secretariat. The Chief Minister said, "Our aim is to make Rajasthan an economy of $350 billion in the next five years from $180 billion." Along with this, referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Developed India-2047', he said that Rajasthan will also be a part of this journey and Singapore can be an important partner for this.Chief Minister considers Singapore an important partnerChief Minister Sharma, while welcoming the representatives of Singapore, mentioned the cultural heritage of Rajasthan. He said, "The culture of Rajasthan has been of 'Atithi Devo Bhava', and the state is known all over the world for its unique culture and heritage." He described Singapore as an important partner of Prime Minister Modi's 'Act East Policy' and said that Singapore has inspired the world with its economic model.Unprecedented work being done in the stateThe Chief Minister also highlighted the development work being done in the field of health, water conservation and industry in Rajasthan. He informed that the state government has set aside 8.26 percent of the total budget for the health sector so that all citizens can get accessible health services. Additionally, water conservation is being promoted under schemes like "Catch the Rain" and "Chief Minister Jal Swavalamban 2.0".Organization of 'Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit'The Chief Minister also spoke about the upcoming 'Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit' to be held from 9 to 11 December, which is being organized to attract global investment in the state. He also said that MoUs worth Rs 20 lakh crore have been signed so far under this conference, and he also invited the delegation of Singapore to participate in the conference.Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, Industry Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Medical Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar and other important ministers were also present on the occasion.Rajasthan's new initiatives towards investment and developmentChief Minister Sharma spoke strongly about the state government's plans to develop Rajasthan and attract global investments. His initiatives seem determined to transform the state into a prosperous and developed economic region, in which international partnerships like Singapore can play an important role.
