Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday met Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa amid an ongoing no-confidence motion against his government. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the recent political instability in the country as well as the upcoming Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) summit in Pakistan. Apart from this, the ongoing protests in Balochistan were also discussed during this period.

Discussion to bring political instability back on track

On the other hand, most of the leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are waiting for the outcome of this meeting. The outcome of this meeting is considered important amid the ongoing political developments in the country. The purpose of the meeting is to once again bring the ongoing political instability in Pakistan back on track. It is believed that the army plays an important role in bringing political stability in Pakistan. It is difficult to run a government there without the cooperation of the army.

The matter of displeasure of the army chief also came to the fore

It is being told that the army chief is angry about the derogatory remarks given by PM Imran Khan on March 11. Actually, the army chief had advised Imran Khan not to use derogatory remarks against opposition leaders but Imran Khan rejected it. Giving clarification on this matter, Imran Khan said that I was only talking to General Bajwa and he asked me not to call Fazal 'Diesel'. But I am not saying so. People have named him Diesel. Imran Khan was referring to JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

Voting on no-confidence motion on March 27

Actually, there are 342 members in the National Assembly of Pakistan. If Prime Minister Imran Khan fails to garner the support of 172 members during the no-confidence motion on March 27, his government will fall. There is a strong possibility of this happening.
