Three people were killed and four injured in a terrorist attack in Gagangir area of ​​Sonamarg in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. Statement of the Chief Minister

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed deep grief over this terrorist attack. He wrote in his post on 'X', "Extremely sad news of the cowardly attack on non-local laborers in Gagangir of Sonamarg area. These people were working on a major infrastructure project in the area. Two have died and two-three others have been injured in this terrorist attack. I strongly condemn this attack on unarmed innocent people and offer my condolences to their loved ones." Infiltration attempt foiled on the Line of Control

Earlier, the Army foiled an infiltration attempt on the Line of Control in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. According to officials, soldiers noticed suspicious activities in the Kamalkot area of ​​​​Uri sector and challenged the intruders. The intruders started firing, to which the Army gave a befitting reply. One intruder is believed to have been killed in this encounter, although his body has not been recovered yet due to the inaccessible terrain.
