Jammu-Kashmir News: Terrorists have attacked a bus of pilgrims in Reasi district of Jammu. Due to this, a bus carrying pilgrims went out of control and fell into a ditch. 10 pilgrims died in this incident, while 33 were injured. This attack took place in Teryath village of Poni area when the pilgrims were going to Shivkhodi temple. Senior officers of army, police and paramilitary forces have reached the spot. SSP Reasi Mohita Sharma said, "Initial reports have revealed that terrorists opened fire on a passenger bus going from Shivkhodi to Katra. Due to the firing, the bus driver lost balance and the bus fell into the ditch. 33 people have been injured and 10 people have died in this incident."

10 pilgrims died in terrorist attack

He said that the passengers have not been identified yet, they are not local. Shivkhodi shrine has been secured. DC Reasi said that 10 people have died in this incident.

He said that it is a very unfortunate incident. The terrorists were lying in ambush. They have attacked that bus. Due to that the driver lost his balance and the bus fell into the ditch. Let us tell you that there is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in Shivkhodi. The city of Katra serves as the base camp for the Vaishno Devi temple in the Trikuta hills.

Farooq Abdullah condemned the attack

JKNC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah have strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir today. He said that such violent incidents pose a significant obstacle in achieving lasting peace in the region.

He called upon all communities to unite during these challenging times and support initiatives aimed at achieving lasting harmony. He also expressed his deep sympathy during this sad moment and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families.

On the other hand, security has been tightened in the area after the terrorist attack. Vehicles are being checked by security personnel after terrorists attacked a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi in Akhnoor, Jammu and Kashmir.

Omar Abdullah condemned the terror attack

JKNC leader Omar Abdullah tweeted that there is terrible news from Reasi in Jammu and Kashmir, where 10 passengers have died and many others have been injured in a terrorist attack on a bus. I strongly condemn this attack. It is unfortunate that terrorism has returned to areas from which terrorists were completely removed earlier. May the souls of the dead rest in peace and I wish the injured a speedy recovery.
