Lok Sabha Elections: Regarding the Lok Sabha elections 2024, both the ruling party and the opposition are engaged in increasing their political clan. On one hand, 26 opposition parties, including the Congress, gathered in Bengaluru, while on the other hand, the NDA meeting was held in Delhi under the leadership of the BJP with the support of 38 parties. BJP is trying hard to come to power for the third consecutive time, on the other hand, the opposition Ekta Dal is trying hard to push BJP away from power. Between the ruling party and the opposition, there are a total of eight parties in the country which are keeping distance from both of them. In such a situation, the question is whether all these parties together will try to form a third front?

These eight parties include BJD, YSR Congress, TRS, JDS, Akali Dal, BSP, AIMIM and AIUDF. Some of these parties are in power on their own in many states while there are some who have been with either the Congress or the NDA before. Even after this, these parties have not been able to reach any decision regarding the upcoming elections.

Talking about the political supremacy of these parties, there is a Biju Janata Dal government in Odisha and the head of the party, Naveen Patnaik himself, is the Chief Minister. Patnaik's vote bank and his popularity in Odisha is not hidden from anyone. He has formed the government five times on his own. In the assembly held in 2019, out of 147 seats, it has won 112 seats. There are a total of 21 Lok Sabha seats in the state. In the 2019 Lok Sabha, BJD got 12 seats while BJP managed to win 8 seats and Congress one seat.

The situation is similar in Telangana. Here TRS government and K Chandrasekhar Rao is the chief minister of the party. His party holds 90 out of 119 assembly seats in the state. On the other hand, if we talk about the Lok Sabha, out of 17 seats, 9 are occupied by TRS. Same is the case in Andhra Pradesh also. Here also YSR Congress is sitting in power and YS Jagan Mohan Redda is the Chief Minister. There are a total of 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state, out of which 22 are occupied by the YSR Congress.

The silence of Akali Dal and BSP also

Now talking about JDS in Karnataka, it is the party of former PM HD Deve Gowda. The political scenario of JDS is only in Kerala and Karnataka. JDS had won one of the 28 seats in the state in the last Lok Sabha elections. Everyone knows the condition of Akali Dal and BSP. The Akali Dal was once a part of the NDA, but is currently away. Although, there is talk about the Akali Dal that it will return to the NDA, but there is still speculation about when it will happen.

The same condition is also with BSP of former UP CM Mayawati. BSP has also not been able to clear its stand yet. As far as Asaduddin Owaisi's party AIMIM is concerned, it mainly comes from Telangana. Asaduddin Owaisi is the only MP of the party. Owaisi is also neither on the side of the ruling party nor with the opposition. Overall, these political parties have their own vote bank in their respective states and they also play an important role in the politics of the state, even after that they have not been able to clear their stand yet.

Opposition gave the name 'INDIA' to the alliance

In the meeting of opposition unity held in Bengaluru, the name of the alliance has been given as 'INDIA'. Its five words have their own different importance and political meaning. The meaning of 'INDIA' has been told (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance). All the parties have also expressed their consent on this name of the opposition.
