Dussehra 2024 : Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, is one of the most important festivals of Hinduism. This festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil. This year Dussehra is being celebrated on 12 October 2024. On this day, Lord Shri Ram killed Ravana and freed Mother Sita, which is the main basis of this festival. Along with this, Goddess Durga also killed Mahishasura on this day, so it is also celebrated as Mahishasura Mardini festival.
Religious and cultural significance of DussehraDussehra is celebrated on the Dashami date of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month. On this day, effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakaran, and Meghnad are burnt all over India, which symbolizes the victory of good over evil. The tradition of staging Ramlila and burning Ravana is done with great pomp especially in North India. After this day, preparations for Diwali begin, as it is considered to be a sign of Lord Rama's return to Ayodhya.

Puja Muhurta: The auspicious time for Dussehra worship today is from 11:44 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:03 pm to 2:49 pm. In the afternoon, the time for worshiping Goddess Aparajita will be from 1:17 to 3:35 pm.

Make rice yellow with turmeric and make Swastika and install Ganesha. After installing Navgrahas, worship your favorite deity.
