Much like countless nations around the world, India is still grappling with the current COVID-19 outbreak. While some believe that the worst has already past, others feel that the winter could result in a further surge in cases throughout the country. This is why Indians should be even more vigilant in the coming weeks and months ahead. Unfortunately, some young people are still not taking this health crisis as seriously as they should. It is important to highlight the fact that the current health crisis does not discriminate between age, status or income level. What can we learn from famous actors who have recently fallen ill? Are there any takeaway points which can then be applied to our daily lives?

A Non-Discriminating Illness

Many of us associate serious illnesses with the older generation. In some cases, this actually is a perfectly logical observation. After all, older individuals are more prone to developing issues as a result of their (generally) weaker immune systems. This is also why many of us were not overly surprised when famous names such as Pranab Mukherjee and Union Home Minister Amit Shah tested positive for the virus. However, our perspectives were soon about to change.

The news that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her husband were both diagnosed with COVID-19 became an immediate media sensation. As she was only born in 1974, she is relatively young. We then began to hear of other celebrities who were in the same situation. Some notable names included Arjun Kapoor, the rapper Raftaar and Himansh Kohli. So, it became immediately clear that this virus was not somehow selecting older individuals alone.

Patience, Prudence and Common Sense

One of the downsides of embracing the life of a Bollywood star or a politician is the simple fact that it is very difficult to shun the public spotlight. This is even more problematic when we consider the fact that one of the best ways to avoid becoming ill is to become separated from the general population. While some of us may be able to relax at home by accessing casino-related websites such as comeon.com, this can be a bit more difficult for celebrities due to their hectic schedules.

So, the main takeaway point is that all of the money in the world will not protect us from contracting this virus if we fail to adopt an approach centred around prudence and common sense. The good news is that the majority of Bollywood celebrities have enjoyed speedy recoveries and we can only hope that they will not suffer from any long-term complications.

Looking on the bright side, the chances are very high that we will have a vaccine for this virus sometime in the early portion of 2021. This still does not signify that we should let our guards down between now and then. All of us have a responsibility to remain safe and to protect the health of those around us. So, let's learn from the celebrities and keep common sense in mind at all times.
