Uttar Pradesh | The demand for renaming the Taj Mahal as Tejo Mahalaya has intensified again. Now the Municipal Corporation will also resonate in the House. BJP councilor Shobharam Rathore has decided to make it a proposal and present it in the meeting of the Municipal Corporation to be held on Wednesday. The officials are silent on this, but the mayor says that the motion has come, it will be read in the house and after considering all the aspects, further action will be taken.

Councilor Shobharam Rathore argues that the Municipal Corporation has renamed roads and intersections in four and a half years. Therefore, now he will present a proposal to rename the Taj Mahal as Tejo Mahalaya in the Municipal Corporation.

Councilor's argument

The name Taj Mahal has been given to the monument by a foreign traveler which is an aberration of the original name Tejo Mahalaya. Till date the word palace is not associated with any cemetery in the world. There is historical and written evidence that the said complex was the property of Raja Jai Singh. Which was captured by Shah Jahan.

  • The love story of Shah Jahan seems to be fictionalized and composed, as Shah Jahan had many wives.
  • The real name of the so-called queen Mumtaz was Arjumand Bano.
  • The alleged Mumtaz i.e. Arjumand Bano died about 22 years before the construction of the said monument in Burhanpur.
  • At present also the tomb of Arjumand Bana exists in Burhanpur.
  • How was Mumtaz's dead body safe for so many years? There is no clear mention of this, there is a contradictory statement recorded in this context in the emperor's name of Shah Jahan himself.
  • After research by historian Tavernier, Peter Mundi, Aurangzeb's letters and historian PN Oak, it is proved that 'Taj Mahal' is a temple building. Which has been unauthorizedly captured and tried to give it a Mughal appearance by restoration.
In order to strengthen the love story of Shah Jahan, other stories related to it were also composed in the society. Like Shah Jahan got the hands of the artisans who built the Taj Mahal cut off, Shah Jahan also wanted to build another black Taj Mahal etc. White lies have been proven.

What do the mayor and councilors say

BJP councilor Shobharam Rathore says that the Taj Mahal is within the limits of the Municipal Corporation. The Municipal Corporation does the cleaning there. There are symbols related to all the Hindu religions in the Taj Mahal. This was the haveli of Raja Jai Singh. Street names have changed in the city. So why can't the name of Taj Mahal be changed. That is why this proposal has been introduced in the Municipal Corporation House.

Mayor Naveen Jain said that councilor Shobharam Rathore has proposed to change the name of Taj Mahal to Tejo Mahalaya. The motion will also be read in the House and there will be discussion. It is not a matter of jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation, but after considering the legal aspects, the proposal can also be sent to the government.
