Take the risk to save tax and purity

The biggest reason for gold smuggling is 7.5% import duty saving. Apart from this, the other big reason is the purity of gold. The 24 carat gold price in Dubai is currently 4181 rupees per gram. It takes 7.5% duty to bring gold from Dubai in India. To protect this duty, smugglers bring large quantities of gold here. There is a savings of about 340 rupees on one gram. If a person brings 100 grams of gold from Dubai secretly, then he saves 34 thousand rupees.
