Rajasthan / 54 kg drugs worth ₹270 crore seized at Indo-Pak border in Rajasthan, video surface

The BSF has seized 54 kg of drugs worth ₹270 crore in the Bikaner sector of the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan. As reported, two smugglers managed to escape after delivering drugs from Pakistan. A video of the seizure of 54 packets of drugs of 1 kg each by BSF under the leadership of IG Pankaj Kumar in Bikaner sector has also surfaced.

Bikaner: The Border Security Force (BSF) has made the biggest drug haul in years by seizing 54-kg of contraband in Bikaner sector at the Rajasthan-Pakistan border. 

The drugs were reportedly smuggled from Pakistan. The seizure is said to be the biggest haul in the history of BSF at Rajasthan border. Meanwhile, two smugglers managed to slip back into Pakistan after delivering drugs.

The drug seizure operation was carried out by the 127th Battalion of BSF near Khajuwala area on the international border with Pakistan.

Giving more details on the story, Times Now Correspondent Arvind Singh said the value of the seized contraband is estimated to be around Rs 270 cr.

Modus Operandi

The smugglers sneaked contrabands through pipes into the Indian territory. 54 packets of one kilogram each were seized by the BSF.

The drug haul was made in Bikaner sector by the BSF team led by IG Pankaj Kumar. The seizure came amid tough conditions in the area with massive storm and rains. The smugglers tried to take advantage of the bad weather and tried to smuggle drugs.
