REET Exam 2025 / Applications for REET will start from December 1, exam will be held in February

The application process for REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) in Rajasthan will start from December 1. Education Minister Madan Dilawar informed about releasing the notification before November 25. The exam will be held in February and the date of the teacher recruitment process will be decided after the result.

REET Exam 2025: The wait for the Rajasthan Eligibility Exam for Teachers (REET) to be conducted for the recruitment of teachers in Rajasthan is going to end. The Board of Secondary Education, Ajmer, will start the application process for this exam from December 1. State Education Minister Madan Dilawar has confirmed that the official release of REET will be released before November 25. This exam will be held in February, after which the answer key and results will be released.

Exam Preparation: Application Process and Fee

The application process for the exam will start from December 1 and the candidates will be charged the same fee as was charged in the REET exam held in 2022. Candidates eligible for REET will have to pay this fee.

Education Minister Madan Dilawar said, "Lakhs of youth of the state have been waiting for REET for a long time. Our government had promised to conduct this exam on time. We are committed to fulfill it."

Review of vacant posts and recruitment process

The education department is currently assessing the vacant teacher posts and the posts that have become vacant after promotion. After the review process is completed, information about the total vacant posts of teachers in the state will be available, and the teacher recruitment process will be shaped accordingly.

New rule of five options in OMR sheet

According to Krishna Kunal, Administrative Secretary of the Education Department, this time in the REET exam, candidates will be given five options instead of four in the OMR sheet. If the candidate does not choose any of the four options for the answer to a question, then he will have to fill the fifth option. Failure to do so will result in negative marking. If a candidate does not fill any of the five options in more than 10% of the questions, he will be disqualified. Also, a plan is being considered to put the photo of the candidates on the OMR sheet along with their roll number to ensure their identity.

REET: A Brief Introduction

REET, i.e. Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test, is a mandatory eligibility test to become a teacher in government schools in Rajasthan. This exam is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Ajmer and the candidates who pass it get a Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Certificate valid for three years. On the basis of this certificate, candidates can apply for teacher recruitment examinations held in the state for three years.

Conducting REET Exam: Long Wait and New Government Initiative

The last time REET exam was conducted was in 2022. At that time the then Congress government had decided to conduct REET every year, but due to various reasons the exam could not be conducted. Now, the new government has decided to conduct REET exam, which is going to end the wait of more than 15 lakh young candidates of the state.
