New Delhi: After the allegations made by the Delhi government on the supply of vaccine at the center, now BJP's national spokesperson Sambit Patra has given a clarification. Patra said that the Delhi government is trying to create confusion among the public that the center has sent 6.5 crore vaccine doses to other countries for free.

Sambit Patra said, 'By May 11, 2021, about 6.63 crore vaccine doses were sent outside India. Only 1 crore 7 lakh vaccines have been sent as help. The remaining 84 percent vaccine has been sent in the form of liability, which you had to do, no matter which government it was.

The BJP national spokesperson further said, 'Covishield vaccine is being manufactured in India today only after getting the license of AstraZeneca. The WHO Kovacs facility also has a big hand in this. This agreement was signed by all the countries. Under this, it is mandatory to do 30 percent export vaccine. If we do not make this agreement, we will not get the facility of vaccination in India.

"No one can make a vaccine at home"

The Delhi government is constantly seeking the vaccine formula from the Center so that other companies can also produce. On this, Sambit Patra said, 'It is not such a formula that he gave it to someone and he made a vaccine at home. Or any company make a vaccine in your home. There are many topics behind it. Kovishield does not have a license from India, its license is with AstraZeneca. AstraZeneca has allowed the Serum Institute to make the vaccine. This company cannot give formula to anyone else in India.
