New Delhi : Lashing out at comedian Munawwar Farooqui, BJP MLA from Hyderabad T. Raja Singh, surrounded by his remarks on Prophet Mohammad, says he is fighting for religion and is ready to die. While being arrested by the police, T. Raja Singh said that I am doing this for religion. I am ready to die for this. T. Raja Singh said, 'They removed my video from YouTube. I don't know what the police are going to do. Will definitely upload the second part of the video when I am released. I am doing this for religion. I am even ready to die for religion.'Raja Singh wanted to know why so many complaints were registered against him in different police stations. He said, 'Why were the complaints registered? Our Ram is not Ram? Our Sita is not Sita? I had requested the DGP with folded hands that he should not allow a person (Munawwar Farooqui) doing a hate comedy against Ram and Sita. Raja Singh protested. Due to this he was also taken into custody. The program took place even after his protest and in response to that he was speaking in a video.Thousands of Muslims surrounded the police stations and demonstratedIn the meantime, Raja Singh made a comment on Prophet Mohammad, about which there is a ruckus. On Monday night itself, thousands of Muslims protested by gheraoing many police stations of Hyderabad including Dabirpur. After this the police registered a case against Raja Singh and arrested him. Police said complaints have been lodged against Singh in several police stations. Dabirpur police station inspector G Koteswara Rao said they have received a complaint against Singh alleging that the BJP MLA has made derogatory remarks against a particular religion.MLA said - I will return and release the second part of the videoAccording to Rao, Singh has been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, committing willful and malicious acts, insulting religion and religious beliefs and outraging religious feelings of any class. An FIR has been registered on charges of causing hurt and criminal intimidation. Singh, the MLA from Goshamahal, told reporters during his arrest that the social media site on which he had shared his video had removed it and that he would upload the "second part" of the video clip once he is released.
