Sometime back one had to go to Aadhaar Center or Cyber ​​Cafe to change the name. But now you can do it by yourself sitting at home. Keep in mind that UIDAI had discontinued this facility sometime back, but now it has been reinstated.

For this, first you have to go to the official website of Aadhaar Card, uidai.gov.in.

The MY Aadhaar option will appear on the home page, click on it.

After this you will have to go to the Update Your Aadhaar section, here a column will appear for Update your Demographics Data Online, click on it.

On clicking here, the official website of UIDAI's Self Service Update Portal, ssup.uidai.gov.in will open.

Here you have to login with your 12 digit Aadhaar number.

Then fill the captcha given on the screen and click on Send OTP, after that the OTP will reach your registered mobile number.

After entering the OTP, a new page will open, in which you will have to enter your personal details like your address, date of birth, name and gender.

Now select the details you want to change. If the name needs to be changed, click on 'Update Name'. Similarly, to change the address, go to 'Update Address'.

Here you have to keep in mind that you must have the required ID proof asked for updating. For this you can upload PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID Card, Ration Card.

After giving all the required details, a verification OTP will come on your mobile number, you will have to verify it. Change the save after verifying.

Keep in mind that sometimes you may have to go to your nearest Aadhaar center for this work. In such a situation, carry the necessary documents with you.
