Patna: Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama has written to JD(U) chief, congratulating him for the victory of his alliance in the Bihar assembly elections.The ruling NDA coalition won 125 seats in the 243-member state assembly against 110 clinched by the opposition grand alliance to pave the way for a fourth successive term for Kumar in office.According to news agency ANI, the Dalai Lama wished all success to Kumar in meeting “whatever challenges lie ahead in fulfilling hopes and aspirations of the people of Bihar.”“I pray you will be successful in meeting whatever challenges lie ahead in fulfilling hopes & aspirations of the people of Bihar,” the Dalai Lama wrote, reported ANI.The Dalai Lama visits Bihar every year in December-January as part of an annual retreat during which he offers public discourses at Bodh Gaya and also conducts the "Kalachakra" tantric initiation ceremony.In January this year, the Dalai Lama had caled on Kumar at his official residence in Patna, and held a prayer ceremony for "peace and well-being of one and all". He had also offered prayers before a ''Bodhi tree'' at the chief minister's 1, Anney Marg bungalow along with other Buddhist priests.
