Delhi Water Crisis / Delhi's water minister Atishi, who was on hunger strike, falls ill, admitted to ICU

Delhi Water Crisis: Water Minister Atishi, who was on an indefinite hunger strike over water shortage in Delhi, suddenly fell ill at around 3 am. After this, she was admitted to the ICU of Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital (LNJP). Her sugar level had gone down considerably. After this, she was admitted in a hurry. Atishi Singh is currently under the supervision of a team of doctors.

Water Minister Atishi has been on an indefinite hunger strike for the last four days and claims that Haryana is not giving Delhi's share of water. After Atishi Singh's health deteriorated, Aam Aadmi Party MPs Sanjay Singh, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Aam Aadmi Party MLAs Dilip Pandey and Gopal Rai also came to see her at LNGPS hospital and meet the doctor.

Blood sugar dropped to 36

Aam Aadmi Party tweeted that her blood sugar level dropped to 43 at midnight and 36 at 3 am, after which the doctors of LNJP hospital immediately advised to admit her. She has not been eating anything for the last five days and is on an indefinite hunger strike demanding the release of Delhi's share of water from Haryana.

Health bulletin will be issued

Doctors of LNJP hospital will issue Atishi Singh's health bulletin. Atishi had said on Monday that it is the fourth day of indefinite hunger strike. There is a huge shortage of water in Delhi. Haryana has reduced the water supply. My BP and sugar are getting low. I am also losing weight. Atishi says that her hunger strike will continue till Delhi gets water.

TMC supports Atishi

On the fourth day, a delegation of TMC MPs reached in support of Water Minister Atishi and gave their full support. All the MPs appreciated Atishi ji's struggle and pledged to raise the voice of Delhi's unity in Parliament.
