Maharashtra New CM: There has been an important turn in the politics of Maharashtra, where Devendra Fadnavis has been elected as the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Legislative Party, and with this he has been declared the new Chief Minister of the state. This decision was unanimously accepted by the senior leaders of BJP. The proposal to choose Fadnavis as the candidate for the post of Chief Minister was put forward by Chandrakant Patil in the BJP Legislature Party meeting, which was approved by Pankaja Munde. In the meeting, this proposal was supported by the entire party, and Fadnavis was elected the leader of the Legislature Party.

Meeting the Governor and claiming to form the government

BJP's Maharashtra unit leader Sudhir Mungantiwar said that the allies of the Mahayuti will meet Governor CP Radhakrishnan on Wednesday, where they will stake claim to form the government in the state. Earlier, it was decided in the BJP's core committee that the proposal of Devendra Fadnavis's name would be brought in the MLAs' meeting. In this process, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani were appointed as observers.

Shiv Sena's clear stand: Mahayuti is united

Shiv Sena spokesperson Kiran Pawaskar said that the parties of the Mahayuti are united and there is no rift regarding the formation of the government. He told that BJP has the most seats and all the parties of the Mahayuti will take the majority figure to the Governor. Along with this, Shiv Sena clarified that they are not making any claim regarding the ministries.

Mahayuti's massive victory under the leadership of Fadnavis

Devendra Fadnavis' electoral history for the post of Chief Minister has been impressive. He became the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the first time in 2014 and under his leadership, the Mahayuti alliance has won a spectacular victory in the assembly elections this time. Out of the total 230 seats of Mahayuti, BJP won 132 seats, while Shiv Sena won 57 and NCP won 41 seats. This victory further strengthens the success of BJP.

Legislature party meeting and swearing-in process

In the BJP Legislature Party meeting, the MLAs will select their leader, and after this, former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will send the information of the name of the elected leader to Delhi. After this, senior BJP leaders will announce the swearing-in ceremony. The next Chief Minister of Maharashtra will take oath on December 5 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other central leaders. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at the historic Azad Maidan in Mumbai.

Preparations for the swearing-in ceremony are in full swing

Preparations are going on in full swing for the swearing-in ceremony to be held on December 5. BJP Maharashtra President Chandrashekhar Bawankule inspected the venue and Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states have been invited to the ceremony along with Prime Minister Modi. Apart from this, many Union Ministers and prominent BJP leaders may also attend the event.
