At the same time, the injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals. According to the police, this bus was going from Sitamarhi in Bihar to Delhi.

As soon as the bus moved ahead from Lucknow and reached Behta Mujawar police station area of ​​​​Unnao, the driver suddenly dozed off. In this time, this bus rammed into the milk container moving ahead. This accident happened in the blink of an eye. Since at the time of the accident, the speed of the container was low and the speed of the bus was high. Due to this, the collision was also very fast. In this, the front part of the bus and the rear part of the container were badly damaged.

Accident happened at 05:15 am

Giving information about the incident, the police said that 18 people died when a double-decker bus going from Bihar to Delhi collided with a milk tanker on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway under Behta Mujawar police station area at around 05:15 am. On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and took out all the injured and admitted them to CHC Bangarmau for treatment. Behta Mujawar police said that necessary action is being taken by taking the bodies into custody.

More than 30 people seriously injured

On receiving information, Unnao police reached the spot and with the help of villagers, immediately took out the injured from the bus and took them to the hospital. Police said that more than 30 people have been admitted to the hospital, out of which the condition of more than 20 people is critical. At the same time, 18 people have died. According to the police, the body of the bus had to be cut to remove the bodies from inside the bus. All the dead and injured are being identified and their families are being informed. Post-mortem of the bodies will be done only after the arrival of the family members.

8 people of two families died

The police immediately informed the district headquarters as well as the police control room Lucknow about the accident. After this, CO Bangarmau Arvind Chaurasia also reached the spot. He told that the causes of the accident are being investigated. He told that 14 dead in this accident have been identified. These include Dilshad son of Ashfaq resident of Modipuram (Meerut, UP), Bittu son of Rajendra resident of Bhadur (Shivhar, Bihar), Rajneesh son of Ramvilas resident of Siwan (Bihar), Lalbabu Das son of Ramsuraj Das, Bharat Bhushan Kumar son of Lal Bahadur Das, Babu Das son of Ramsuraj Das and Rampravesh Kumar resident of Hiraga (Shivhar, Bihar), Mohd. Saddam son of Mohd. Bashir resident of Gamroli (Shivhar, Bihar), Nagma daughter of Shahzad, Shabana wife of Mohd. Shahzad resident Bhajanpura (Delhi), Chandni wife of Mohd. Shamshad, Mohd. Shafiq son of Abdul Basir, Munni Khatoon wife of Abdul Basik, and Taufiq Alam son of Abdul Basir resident of Shivoli, Mulhari etc. Apart from these, four other deceased are yet to be identified.

CM gave instructions to expedite relief work

A statement issued by the Chief Minister's Office of Uttar Pradesh said that CM Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the road accident in Unnao district and expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. The Chief Minister has instructed the officials to immediately reach the spot and expedite the relief work.
